Hi! My name is Eoin (pronounced Owen) and I use they/them pronouns. I have a background in engineering and have been woodworking and cabinetmaking for the last 5 years. I absolutely love working with clients to make their visions a reality, no matter the size of the project. I feel so lucky to be making things that improve my clients’ daily lives!

As a queer person in the trades and previously in the mining industry, I am very aware that not everyone gets treated with the respect that they deserve. I strive to create an open, welcoming relationship with all of my clients, as mutual respect is the foundation for any relationship.

I approach projects enthusiastically and with an eye for detail. I actively and clearly communicate with my clients about their needs and keep projects on time and on budget. It’s very important to me to work within both schedules and budgets, as I know a departure from either can have really inconvenient cascading effects!

It’s extremely important to me to minimize the environmental impacts of my business. I use water-based zero or low VOC finishes only, and products manufactured locally whenever possible. The main finishing system I used is developed and manufactured entirely in Canada. I also really prefer to use domestic plywood and solid wood wherever possible, as I am unfamiliar with the forestry practices in other parts of the world. Here in BC, we we are lucky to have some amazing native softwoods such as red and yellow cedar, sitka spruce, larch, hemlock, fir, and western white pine. Our hardwoods are more limited (red alder, western maple, and western birch) but I personally feel that they are underappreciated when compared to eastern hardwoods! If you are interested in minimizing your environmental impact with the interior finishes you choose, I’d love to talk to you about it!

Thanks for visiting my website and I look forward to connecting.
